Padmawati Sr. Sec School
School Library
At Padmawati Sr. Sec School, we recognize the significance of reading in expanding
knowledge and fostering intellectual growth. We aim to cultivate a reading culture that
enriches and complements our education system. Carefully curated books that capture
students' imagination, reinforce factual information, and unlock new realms of intellect
are made available in our school library.
The school library is open to all students, providing them with access to a diverse range
of books. Each class is allocated at least one library period per week, allowing students
dedicated time to explore and borrow books.
To ensure a conducive environment for reading and studying, students are required to
adhere to the following rules:
- Borrowing Limit: Students may borrow only one book at a time from the library.
Silence: Absolute silence must be maintained within the library premises,
respecting the need for concentration and focus.
- Timely Return: Books borrowed from the library should be returned promptly.
Failure to return books on time, without a valid reason, will result in the
suspension of borrowing privileges for a period of four weeks.
- Book Care: Borrowers are responsible for the condition of the books they borrow.
Any books that are marked, disfigured, or damaged must be replaced or paid for
by the borrower.
- Organizational Responsibility: The library operates on an open-shelf system, and
it is the responsibility of students to maintain order and organization on the
shelves. After consulting a book, students are expected to return it to the
designated table, rather than placing it randomly on the shelves.
- Respect for Books: Any student found damaging or defacing a book will be
prohibited from using the library for the entire academic year. We emphasize the
importance of treating books with respect and care.
The school library serves as a gateway to knowledge, fostering a love for reading and
supporting students' intellectual growth. At Padmawati Sr. Sec School, we encourage
our students to utilize this valuable resource to expand their horizons and embark on
meaningful learning journeys.
